Lightships has operated 2 A-60+ Lightships for MetLife since 2002.Snoopy 1 and Snoopy 2 have established themselves as icons in the US, and are both an integral part of PGA tour golf coverage throughout the country on the major TV networks, providing full Hi-Definition images from overhead.
2007 marked the 20th Anniversary of the MetLife blimps in the United States, and to celebrate MetLife added a third blimp to its fleet. This time it was a Lightship A-150, and this ship enabled MetLife to cover more events and further enhance the MetLife brand through its PR activities, golf and football coverage.
In 2008 MetLife again returned the A-150 Snoopy 3 Lightship to its fleet for a summer tour packed with sporting events.
